English 1 is theme-based, emphasizes speaking and listening skills, and is highly interactive. Students can expect to speak English in pairs and small groups during each class. Themes are related to every-day life, for example: weather, family, jobs, and giving directions. Grammar topics include the present simple tense, past simple tense, future tense with “going to,” subject pronouns, possessive adjectives, countable and uncountable nouns, and many more!
This class is free of charge and takes place in-person at the Plymouth Congregational Church in Lawrence, Kansas.
Class Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:15 – 7:15 PM Central Time at the Plymouth Congregational Church (925 Vermont Street, Lawrence, Kansas 66044).
